A guitar restring shouldn't be a rushed five-minute counter swap. The Complete Restring (£35) at The Complete Guitar is a methodical 4-stage bench ritual that restores tuning stability, cleanses your instrument, and protects raw tonewoods against seasonal Scottish humidity changes.

De-Tension & Hardware Audit

Old strings safely removed, machine head bushings snugged, bridge saddles audited for string-snapping burrs, and strap buttons tightened.

Phase 1 Cleanse (Clarity Wash)

Bare fretboard and headstock treated with silicone-free, pH-neutral Clarity Wash to lift sweat and grime without hazing vintage lacquer.

Phase 2 Hydration (Resonance Balm)

Dark tonewoods (Rosewood, Ebony, Pau Ferro) fed with cold-pressed botanical lipids to eliminate seasonal fret sprout and timber checking.

Fret Buff & Strobe Calibration

Frets buffed to remove oxidation drag and refresh the surface, nut slots lubricated, strings installed with neat luthier locking wraps, pre-stretched, and strobe calibrated.
